David Boyer CEng MIET is Director of Electricity Systems at the Energy Networks Association. David provides national engineering and policy leadership on behalf of Britain’s electricity distribution and transmission network operators. With over 16 years’ experience across utilities engineering, delivery, and advisory, he has shaped major reforms in grid connections, flexibility markets, innovation, and smart grid development. David has influenced government policy, overseen nationally significant technical standards, and led a wide range of critical and impactful programmes enabling the energy transition and networks service to customers.
