Zoe McLeod is a consumer advocate with more than 20 years’ experience championing the interests of consumers and communities. She is an Associate Director at Sustainability First, where she leads on engagement, consumer vulnerability and responsible business. Zoe is the independent consumer advocate on National Grid’s scrutiny group, a trustee of Aging Without Children, and Chair of the cross-sector consumer network ESAN. Her previous roles include serving as a lay board member of the Bar Standards Board, independent Chair of a water company customer challenge group, and Chair of a gas network customer engagement group. Her background spans energy and water policy, regulation and campaigns, with roles at Citizens Advice, Consumer Focus, Ofgem, National Energy Action and Friends of the Earth. She has also served as Assistant Cabinet Member for Young People and Youth Services at Richmond upon Thames Council and as an elected local councillor.
