Kate Jones is Head of Delivery for the Ofgem Strategic Innovation Fund at innovate UK. Leading on the delivery of the £1 billion SIF programme designed to accelerate the transition to net zero by enabling energy networks to adopt innovative technologies and solutions that deliver value for consumers.
With over 15 years’ experience in regulated utilities, Kate specialises in energy system innovation, regulatory frameworks and large-scale energy innovation funding programmes. She works closely with government, regulators and industry stakeholders to translate policy into practical delivery, ensuring programmes achieve long-term public value while maintaining strong governance and accountability.
